The Calavera Company

David Lozeau Painting a SurfboardDavid Lozeau's typical art show season spans from February to December and from San Diego to Australia with stops in boondocks, desert cities, and beach towns in between.

For single-day events, Lozeau prepares an underpainting beforehand and then finely details the piece over the course of six to eight hours so attendees can see the art develop.

For multi-day events, DLo paints large-scale pieces in custom frames, which gives attendees the chance to see the entire painting process unfold before their eyes.

Events are the perfect way to see the art in person and discover the intangibles that a computer screen simply can't convey, like brush strokes, vibrancy, and intricacy. These are also great opportunities for fans to meet David, ask questions, discuss commissions, and get prints signed.

In 2012, Lozeau attended events in Australia, was the featured artist at two fine art festivals, made appearances at the WonderGround Gallery in Downtown Disney, won awards at fine art competitions, and finished the year with a solo art show in San Diego.

In 2015, Lozeau will attend NAMM to coincide with the launch of his Artist Series of Fender Stratocaster guitars, travel to Finland for The Kustom Kulture Show, have a solo art show at the Ian Russell Gallery of Fine Art in Prescott, AZ on May 22nd, and spend every weekend in September at the WonderGround Gallery in Downtown Disneyland.
