The Calavera Company

David Lozeau Painting a SamuraiDavid Lozeau (pronounced Low-zo) has a quirky, character-driven style that wraps Day of the Dead iconography in a Wild West aesthetic, measures historical accuracy against Lowbrow absurdity, and blends fine art technique with illustrative humor to reveal his unique perspective on life, death, and all the gory stuff in between.

Bold colors and funky characters make his art a standout, and in the span of eight years, Lozeau has shown his paintings in dozens of galleries on three continents, collaborated with Disney, El Jimador Tequila, and Fender Guitars, won awards at fine art exhibitions, been featured in countless magazines and three hardcover books, and is a guild member of the Spanish Village Art Center in Balboa Park in San Diego.
